Job Description

The Business School seeks to appoint an Assistant, Associate, or full Professor of Project Management. Responsibilities include supervising PhD and MSc theses, teaching, and contributing to international-level research and publications. The role also involves collaboration with programme leaders and faculty to support BUiD’s reputation in teaching and research.

Job Purpose

This academic leadership role includes contributing to PhD panels, supervising students, teaching across programmes, publishing research, and enhancing the Faculty’s national and international research profile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support governance by contributing to policy development and implementation
  • Ensure high-quality faculty operations and programme delivery
  • Design and maintain course content and support student engagement
  • Contribute to curriculum innovation and accreditation efforts
  • Promote research and secure external funding
  • Teach project and business management modules
  • Build industry and community partnerships
  • Support university events and perform duties as assigned

Person Specifications

Qualifications

  • PhD in Project Management with active research profile

Experience

  • Proven record in PhD supervision, research, and publishing
  • Experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Contributions to accreditation and programme development

Skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills
  • Ability to work in diverse, multicultural environments
  • Strong IT and e-learning capabilities
