Nanjing University Suzhou Campus: Advancing a New Strategic Vision for Emerging Engineering Disciplines

Leveraging NJU’s academic heritage and cutting-edge research capabilities, the Suzhou Campus integrates the trillion-yuan industrial ecosystem of Suzhou to establish a global benchmark in Emerging Engineering Education. In 2025, the campus will inaugurate three Emerging Engineering schools, integrating world-class academic and industrial resources to cultivate future leaders and deliver transformative solutions for national strategic needs and regional economic growth.

Requirements 

1. Demonstrate a passion for higher education, uphold high professional ethics, and strictly adhere to the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China.
2. Achieve internationally recognized academic accomplishments in relevant disciplines, with a strong reputation and broad academic influence.
3. Align with Nanjing University’s vision and educational philosophy, and exhibit forward-looking and strategic thinking in disciplinary development and talent cultivation, with a pioneering and innovative spirit.
4. Bring extensive management experience and outstanding leadership and coordination abilities, with a global vision and core expertise in academic planning and team building; preference will be given to those who have served in leadership roles such as deans, department heads, or directors at renowned institutions.
5. Maintain good physical and mental health, and demonstrate the commitment required to fully devote to the responsibilities of founding and leading the school. 

Responsibilities 

1. Take full responsibility for the establishment and development of the school; formulate and implement the strategic plans of the school.
2. Recruit and develop high-level faculty teams, build high-quality talent training systems, innovate industry-academia-research collaboration frameworks, and lead the college toward academic excellence.
3. Expand educational resources, deepen international collaboration, foster two-way engagement with top global universities and research institutions, and enhance the college’s international reputation.
