About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and motivated Clinical Data Manager with an interest and experience in clinical studies and data stewardship to work on a diverse portfolio of studies that aim to understand how to protect people against respiratory viral infections, within the Section of Adult Infectious Diseases as part of Professor Chris Chiu’s research group (www.imperial.ac.uk/people/c.chiu).
Respiratory viral infections are among the most important causes of severe disease and death worldwide. The overall theme of this research programme is to understand the factors associated with susceptibility to infection and disease in human beings through translational studies of SARS-CoV-2, RSV and influenza virus, and next-generation vaccines.
Professor Chiu is a leading expert in the field of Controlled Human Infection (CHI) Studies. This specialist study design involves the deliberate infection of healthy volunteers
What you would be doing:
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work with the clinical programme management team and research staff to design, build, test and maintain trial specific clinical databases and any other databases or systems that are required for the efficient running of the studies
You will play a key role in the identification, collation, management, harmonisation and analysis of both clinical trial and laboratory data generated in these translational studies.
You will also have the opportunity to develop and establish processes to ensure clinical and laboratory data meet findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability (FAIR) data principles.
