An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate join the School of Health Sciences to conduct studies on the Disability Access in Laboratory Environments (DALE) project.
 
As a Research Associate you will contribute to the creation of an assessment of disability access in laboratories. You will survey labs, interview staff and students about the lab's accessibility, analyse and interpret data, write up results and present information on research progress and outcomes.

You will have a graduate level qualification, equivalent qualification or experience or technical qualifications e.g. Health and Safety, technical skills, project management qualifications. You will be able to work in a proactive and results driven manner in a high paced environment. You will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work effectively as a member of a team and have the ability to review documents. The ability to conduct interviews, analyse and interpret data and advanced skills directly relating to disability access and accommodations and previous research and/or technical experience would be advantageous. This post is suitable for early career researchers such as first post-graduate research appointment or first research technician appointment.  
 
This part-time (0.8 FTE) post is available on a fixed term basis from 1 June 2025 to 30 November 2025.
