Initial teacher training (ITT) at Plymouth Marjon University has a considerable history, stretching back over 180 years. Plymouth Marjon University holds TEF Gold for Teaching excellence and is rated 4th in the Guardian Best University ratings for Education courses (2025). In the Research Excellence Framework (REF2021) 89% of our research was internationally recognised in terms of originality, significance and rigour, including a submission to the Education Unit of Assessment.
