This is an exciting time to be joining the University of Southampton and its Digital Learning Team to work with our Faculty of Medicine: a national leader in medical education.
We are recruiting a Senior Learning Designer Team Lead to support the Faculty of Medicine’s development of new curricula to meet the need for increased numbers of medical professionals over the coming years. With significant developments in the fields of XR (mixed reality) and GenAI, we are looking for an exceptional individual to capitalise on these (and other) technological advances, along with sound pedagogical design, to develop high quality, inclusive digital learning experiences.
The Digital Learning Team is based at Highfield Campus, in the central IT department, iSolutions, benefitting from a resource-rich creative environment and the close proximity of clinical colleagues.
About the Role
This is a key role in re-thinking how we deliver clinical placements and medical education more widely.
Based in the centrally located Digital Learning Team, the post holder will work closely with colleagues in Medical Education to prioritise and deliver effective and high impact digital education projects for the Faculty. This strong partnership delivery will also utilise the expertise and resources of a wider team of Learning Designers, Learning Technologists and Media Producers. You can find out more about our team recruitment process in our Application Guide blog post.
