Are you someone who is practical, super organised, loves diary management, enjoys working with people and thrives on variety? We’ve a great opportunity to join our PA and Administration team in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences in our state-of-the art facilities.
The Faculty is a truly inspirational and fascinating environment to work in, delivering teaching to over 3000 undergraduate students training to be the Bioscientists, Psychologists, Nurses, Paramedics, Midwives, Veterinary Surgeons and Doctors of the future. Our facilities and those of the wider University present a wonderful backdrop for the right person to contribute to wider society and develop their skills and career.
You’ll become a key team member, working as part of a motivated team with the opportunity to build your skills and career as a Senior School Administrator within one of our five schools.
Responsible for PA and admin support to the Head of School, Associate Dean Research and Innovation, and the Associate Head External Engagement, as well as administrative support to other Senior Academic Staff, encompassing essential tasks such as diary management, travel coordination, meeting facilitation, minute-taking, document preparation, and undertaking miscellaneous duties as necessary, you’ll also enjoy planning and assisting with both school and Faculty wide events and conferences and you will have line management responsibility for the School Administrator. There’s lots of variety, interaction with academics, research colleagues and students and the opportunity to learn and develop.
About you
We are looking for a well organised, enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in professional administration and personal assistance.
You'll work well in a team and be familiar with working autonomously and as part of a wider team. You’ll be able to offer guidance to the School Administrator and provide them with supportive line management. Training will be in place to support you, your team and help you develop in the role.

Please do note that this position requires the postholder to be onsite for a minimum of 3 days per week.
