We are seeking a experienced Vice-Principal for academic affairs (Teaching, learning academic compliance) to join our senior leadership team, reporting directly to the Principal. Applicants must currently hold a similar senior role in UK Higher Education. Lead on statutory returns (OfS, HESA, Data Futures, NSS), compliance, and quality assurance at our Cranford Campus. Job Summary

The College seeking an outstanding Vice-Principal to join our senior leadership team at our Cranford Campus. Reporting directly to the College Principal, the Vice-Principal will provide strategic leadership and operational excellence across student and staff quality data management, statutory compliance, academic quality assurance, and institutional reporting.

This role is critical to ensuring that the College continues to meet and exceed all regulatory and statutory requirements, while supporting strategic decision-making through high-quality management information. The role will be strictly academic and non-executive.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the management and quality assurance of all statutory student and staff returns (OfS, TEF, HESA Student [Data Futures], Staff, NSS, Unistats, Graduate Outcomes) ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness.
  • Ensure full compliance with OfS regulatory frameworks, contributing to continuous quality improvement across the College.
  • Manage and enhance Management Information Systems (MIS) to ensure robust and accessible reporting for operational and strategic use.
  • Provide strategic leadership on academic regulations, data governance, and quality assurance matters.
  • Represent the College at external audits, reviews, and with regulatory bodies.
  • Influence, motivate, and lead multi-disciplinary teams across the College to achieve organisational excellence.
  • Foster collaboration and best practice to support our mission of academic and community excellence. 

  Person Essential Requirements

  • Substantial, recent experience as an Academic Quality Compliance or equivalent senior leadership role within a UK Higher Education institution.
  • Extensive expertise managing statutory returns, regulatory audits, and compliance reporting (OfS, TEF, HESA, NSS, Unistats, Graduate Outcomes, Data Futures).
  • Advanced digital and data management skills, with high proficiency in MIS and reporting systems.
  • Outstanding leadership, negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant degree essential; PhD holders will be given preference.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability in all activities.
