We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant/Associate to contribute to/make a leading contribution to the project ‘An integrated analysis of S-acylation dynamics and its importance in cell physiology’ working with Professors Walden and Professor Fuller, as well as national and international collaborators.
This BBSRC-funded ‘Strategic longer larger’ (sLoLa) project is led by University of Strathclyde, with partner organisations across the UK. We will apply a multi-disciplinary Team Science approach to deliver fundamental new insights into the role of S-acylation in cell physiology.
The successful candidate will be embedded in a structural biology team focussing on post-translational modifications and cell signalling, and will be expected to have strong expertise in protein biochemistry and enzymology to contribute to the wider sLoLa team.
The postholder will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research reports, publications, and research proposals, as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
This position is full time and has funding for up to 30th June 2029.
