School of Software

The School of Software of Nanjing University is one of the first batches of national demonstration software schools of the Ministry of Education. In 2021, it was selected as one of the first batches of national characteristic demonstration software schools (key basic software, industry application software). Relying on the first-level discipline of software engineering and the National Key Laboratory of New Technologies in Computer Software, it has built teaching platforms such as "Jiangsu Experimental Teaching Center-Software Engineering Experimental Teaching Center" and "National Experimental Teaching Center-Computer Science and Software Engineering Experimental Teaching Center" (co-built with the School of Computer Science). It has won the second prize for national teaching achievements three times and has been ranked among the best in all previous subject evaluations. The college has a high-quality faculty team, with 10 professors and 11 associate professors, including 2 national leading talents and 3 national young talents. 

Recruitment Position Setting

The School of Software at Nanjing University plans to recruit outstanding young talents from around the world who are interested in engaging in major research directions in the field of software engineering to work in the school. The main research directions include: complex software design and automation, trusted software and quality assurance, software adaptation and intelligence, networked software and service engineering, etc.

1. Commitment to academic teaching and research, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. High standards of professional conduct, including adherence to teaching and research ethics; no history of criminal convictions or academic misconduct.
3. Strong academic background: Ph.D. in a closely related field. Candidates should have experience studying and working in leading research institutions, with a demonstrated record of academic excellence.
4. Proven teaching ability, including the capacity to deliver core and advanced courses effectively. Candidates should be familiar with modern teaching methodologies and possess strong verbal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated research excellence and potential for continued academic development: a solid record of innovative research with international visibility and a clear and ambitious research agenda.

1. Three letters of recommendation (generally from doctoral supervisors, academic leaders of current work units, and well-known scholars in the field);
2. Detailed resume (in Chinese and English);
3. Three representative works (generally papers or monographs that have been officially published or published online before the recruitment announcement deadline and have DOI numbers, and the full text must be uploaded);
4. Other relevant attachments proving academic achievements.

Salary and related packages

1. Public institution establishment (except for foreign personnel);
