The University of Manchester is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice to join the Division of Pharmacy & Optometry. This post is to cover maternity leave, and we are open to a job share arrangement, if you are looking for part-time hours.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and assessing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, developing curriculum, and engaging in leadership activities related to professional pharmacy practice. Key responsibilities include delivering webinars, seminars, tutorials, and workshops, designing learning materials, assessing course units, supervising student projects, and providing academic guidance.
Essential criteria for this role include a good undergraduate Pharmacy degree (2:1 or higher), registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council or Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland, and experience in teaching and assessing undergraduate and/or postgraduate students. Candidates should possess excellent IT, time management, and communication skills, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
