About This Opportunity
The School of Mathematics and Physics seeks to recruit two staff members to continuing teaching and research positions at Academic Level B or C. One of the positions is in Statistics or Mathematical Data Science, while the other position is open to any area of mathematics or statistics; applied and/or computational mathematicians are particularly encouraged to apply. All applicants should highlight how their expertise complements and supplements that of our current staff. Both appointees will have a developed research program in mathematics or statistics, and will be required to engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and curriculum development, including service courses. The appointees will also supervise Higher Degree by Research (PhD and MPhil), postgraduate coursework and Honours students, conduct high-quality research and perform administrative, outreach and other activities associated with the School.

About the Selection Process
As part of the Selection Process, applicants shortlisted for interview will be required to present a seminar and a mock lecture to members of the School community prior to their scheduled interview. The lecture topic will be provided in advance to shortlisted candidates. The research seminar will be for 40 minutes plus 5-10 minutes of questions, and the mock lecture will be 25 minutes, plus questions.
