Tenure-Track/Tenured Faculty Position in School of Education

Institute Introduction

The predecessor of Nanjing University Institute of Education was the Higher Education Research Office established in 1982, which was renamed the Institute of Higher Education in 1987, the Department of Educational Science and Management was established in 2002, and it was transformed into the Institute of Education in 2009. In 2019, the Tao Xingzhi College of Teacher Education was established on the basis of retaining the structure of the Institute of Education, and the fields of subject teaching (English) and subject teaching (physics) were opened.

Our college offers a full range of degree types, awarding Doctor of Education, Doctor of Education, Doctor of Management, and Master of Education, Master of Education, and Master of Management.

Our college has established the Institute of Higher Education, the Institute of Curriculum and Instruction, and the Institute of Educational Economics and Management. It has talent training and discipline construction platforms such as the Jiangsu Education Examination Research Center, the Jiangsu Education Famous Teacher Development Research Center, the Yangtze River Education Think Tank, and the Higher Education Research and Evaluation Center. 

Recruitment Position Setting

Nanjing University Institute of Education and Tao Xingzhi Teacher Education College intends to recruit Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.

The research directions include:

1. Science education (including teaching of various branches of disciplines)
2. Higher Education
3. Curriculum and teaching theory
4. Educational Economics and Management 

Application Requirements

1. Commitment to academic teaching and research, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. High standards of professional conduct, including adherence to teaching and research ethics; no history of criminal convictions or academic misconduct.
3. Strong academic background: Ph.D. in a closely related field. Candidates should have experience studying and working in leading research institutions, with a demonstrated record of academic excellence.
   1. For tenure-track Assistant Professor roles, ideally, at least two years of postdoctoral research experience.
   2. For tenure-track Associate Professor roles, ideally, at least four years of postdoctoral research experience.
4. Proven teaching ability, including the capacity to deliver core and advanced courses effectively. Candidates should be familiar with modern teaching methodologies and possess strong verbal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated research excellence and potential for continued academic development: a solid record of innovative research with international visibility and a clear and ambitious research agenda.

1. Three letters of recommendation (generally from doctoral supervisors, academic leaders of current work units, and well-known scholars in the field);
2. Detailed resume (in Chinese and English);
3. Three representative works (generally papers or monographs that have been officially published or published online before the recruitment announcement deadline and have DOI numbers, and the full text must be uploaded);
4. Other relevant attachments proving academic achievements.

Salary and related packages
