Tenure-Track/Tenured Faculty Position in School of Artificial Intelligence

College Introduction

The School of Artificial Intelligence of Nanjing University was officially established on March 5, 2018 and on May 20. It is the first School of Artificial Intelligence among my country's C9 universities and is committed to building a world-class academic center and a training base for top innovative talents in the field of artificial intelligence. Since its establishment, the school has made great progress and built a high-level teaching team led by world-class experts, young scholars are growing vigorously, and has international influence. It has also made important progress in cutting-edge scientific research, major national projects, and industry-university-research collaborative innovation. 

Recruitment Position Setting

The School of Artificial Intelligence of Nanjing University plans to recruit Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Research directions include:

1. Basic theories of artificial intelligence;
2. Artificial intelligence model algorithm;
3. Artificial intelligence application technology;
4. Artificial intelligence system platform. 

Application Requirements

1. Commitment to academic teaching and research, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. High standards of professional conduct, including adherence to teaching and research ethics; no history of criminal convictions or academic misconduct.
3. Strong academic background: Ph.D. in a closely related field. Candidates should have experience studying and working in leading research institutions, with a demonstrated record of academic excellence.
   1. For tenure-track Assistant Professor roles, ideally, at least two years of postdoctoral research experience.
   2. For tenure-track Associate Professor roles, ideally, at least four years of postdoctoral research experience.
4. Proven teaching ability, including the capacity to deliver core and advanced courses effectively. Candidates should be familiar with modern teaching methodologies and possess strong verbal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated research excellence and potential for continued academic development: a solid record of innovative research with international visibility and a clear and ambitious research agenda.

1. Three letters of recommendation (generally from doctoral supervisors, academic leaders of current work units, and well-known scholars in the field);
2. Detailed resume (in Chinese and English);
3. Three representative works (generally papers or monographs that have been officially published or published online before the recruitment announcement deadline and have DOI numbers, and the full text must be uploaded);
4. Other relevant attachments proving academic achievements.
