College Introduction
Theoretical Economics of Nanjing University has been selected as a national “Double First-Class Construction” discipline. The discipline has a first-class faculty, with 40 full-time teachers, including 1 senior professor of humanities and social sciences at Nanjing University, 3 national teaching masters, 3 national talent plan candidates, and 2 national candidates of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security’s Hundred Thousand Talents Project. It has established the “Nanjing University Yangtze River Delta Economic and Social Development Research Center”, one of the 100 key research bases of the Ministry of Education’s humanities and social sciences, the “Nanjing University Yangtze River Industrial Economics Research Institute”, a national think tank cultivation unit, and the “Nanjing University Cultural Industry Research Institute”, a key research base of the Ministry of Culture. It is a major participant in the national 2011 plan “Collaborative Innovation Center for Socialist Economic Construction with Chinese Characteristics”, and has two “Jiangsu Decision-making Consulting Research Bases”.
The School of Digital Economy and Management of Nanjing University is one of the first colleges built by Nanjing University in Suzhou Campus. It is oriented towards the main battlefield of the economy and the major needs of the country. It aims to cultivate high-end compound talents in the digital economy and build a theoretical system of the digital economy. It carries out research on digital economy, digital finance, digital trade and digital governance, and strives to build a new liberal arts that integrates economics, management, digital intelligence, statistics and behavior.
