College Introduction

Theoretical Economics of Nanjing University has been selected as a national “Double First-Class Construction” discipline. The discipline has a first-class faculty, with 40 full-time teachers, including 1 senior professor of humanities and social sciences at Nanjing University, 3 national teaching masters, 3 national talent plan candidates, and 2 national candidates of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security’s Hundred Thousand Talents Project. It has established the “Nanjing University Yangtze River Delta Economic and Social Development Research Center”, one of the 100 key research bases of the Ministry of Education’s humanities and social sciences, the “Nanjing University Yangtze River Industrial Economics Research Institute”, a national think tank cultivation unit, and the “Nanjing University Cultural Industry Research Institute”, a key research base of the Ministry of Culture. It is a major participant in the national 2011 plan “Collaborative Innovation Center for Socialist Economic Construction with Chinese Characteristics”, and has two “Jiangsu Decision-making Consulting Research Bases”.

The School of Digital Economy and Management of Nanjing University is one of the first colleges built by Nanjing University in Suzhou Campus. It is oriented towards the main battlefield of the economy and the major needs of the country. It aims to cultivate high-end compound talents in the digital economy and build a theoretical system of the digital economy. It carries out research on digital economy, digital finance, digital trade and digital governance, and strives to build a new liberal arts that integrates economics, management, digital intelligence, statistics and behavior. 

Recruitment Position Setting

The School of Digital Economy and Management of Nanjing University is based on the discipline of theoretical economics of Nanjing University and recruits first-class leading talents and outstanding young talents in the field of digital economy from all over the world. It is planned to recruit Associate Professor or Assistant Professor.The candidates are engaged in digital economy research and have high-quality achievements in digital economy. They can take courses such as digital economics, econometrics, digital industrial organization, digital finance and securities investment, statistics, machine learning and data mining, database technology and application, international economics and trade, etc. The recruitment research directions include:

Application Requirements

  1. Commitment to academic teaching and research, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  2. High standards of professional conduct, including adherence to teaching and research ethics; no history of criminal convictions or academic misconduct.
  3. Strong academic background: Ph.D. in a closely related field. Candidates should have experience studying and working in leading research institutions, with a demonstrated record of academic excellence.
  4. Proven teaching ability, including the capacity to deliver core and advanced courses effectively. Candidates should be familiar with modern teaching methodologies and possess strong verbal communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated research excellence and potential for continued academic development: a solid record of innovative research with international visibility and a clear and ambitious research agenda.

  1. Three letters of recommendation (generally from doctoral supervisors, academic leaders of current work units, and well-known scholars in the field);
  2. Detailed resume (in Chinese and English);
  3. Three representative works (generally papers or monographs that have been formally published or published online and have DOI numbers, and the full text must be uploaded);
  4. Other relevant attachments that prove academic achievements.

Salary and related packages

  1. Public institution establishment (except for foreign personnel);
  2. Implementing an annual salary system (details to be agreed upon separately);

  5. The school provides short-term turnover housing and housing subsidies, and the employed person can purchase the commercial housing provided by the school at a preferential price;
