We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
To carry out condition surveys on all building and engineering elements of the Campus estate, to keep the asset condition up to date on a 5-year rolling program and amending the Estates Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) to take account of upgrades carried out.
There will be some external surveys to carry out on roofs and external elevations generally.
About You
You will hold extensive experience in a similar role and strong project management skills. You’ll have proven experience in assessing M&E services condition in education or health establishments.
You’ll hold an industry related degree or relevant technical qualification in a building/services engineering discipline or equivalent experience and be working towards or completed Membership of appropriate professional body e.g. MCIOB, MCIBSE or MRICS qualification.
You will be able to demonstrate current knowledge of Health & Safety at operational level as well as having knowledge of relevant regulations e.g. Building Regulations, Water regulations, etc.
Strong communication skills are required for this customer facing role, the ability to produce excellent quality technical reports and use Microsoft suite of standard office products and AutoCad/Revit at a basic level are required.
