The University of Oxford is a world-renowned centre of excellence, tackling major global challenges—from climate change to vaccine development. We are seeking a Technical Lead for Cloud and Security to join our IT Services department, supporting the University’s teaching, research, and administration through robust and high-performing IT infrastructure.
About the Role
This position provides technical leadership in public cloud and information security within the Cloud and Storage Services team. You will work closely with other technical leaders through the Technical Architecture and Leadership group, contributing to the design, development, delivery, and continual improvement of core IT services.
Responsibilities include shaping technical strategy, supporting day-to-day service delivery, and contributing to service development through projects. You will work across a variety of technologies, engaging with stakeholders, architects, colleagues, and third-party suppliers to ensure effective systems integration and operations.
The Cloud and Storage Services team manages critical services including the University Hybrid Cloud, Scality Secondary Storage, HFS (Storage Protect) Backup, and CrashPlan. The role also involves supporting third-party cloud services such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
About You
