About the Role
The successful candidate will contribute to the intellectual life of the Department of Law, the broader School of Law, and the wider institution. They will make contributions to student education and experience through curriculum development and the delivery of teaching activities in the field of Contract Law (and may provide further teaching in IP, Company, or Commercial and Consumer Law, depending upon need).
The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full-time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of January 2026.
About You
You will have a PhD in a relevant subject, or equivalent professional experience, or relevant professional qualification, and a demonstrable ability to teach at undergraduate level. Ideally, you will have teaching accreditation from the Higher Education Academy at Fellow or Associate Fellow level or be working towards this. Candidates applying for Senior Lecturer positions will need substantial teaching experience.

The School of Law is one of eight schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and has two academic units: the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS). Established in 1965, the Department of Law runs thriving undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has a well-established international reputation for innovative research.
