Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute (ZJE) (http://zje.intl.zju.edu.cn/) is established by two world-leading universities, Zhejiang University (2025 QS Ranking: 47) (https://www.zju.edu.cn/english/) and the University of Edinburgh (2025 QS Ranking: 27) (https://www.ed.ac.uk/), at the International Campus Zhejiang University in Haining, China. Building on the existing strengths of both, the Institute aims to foster collaborations in teaching and research, explore interdisciplinary research, and be committed to frontier basic and applied research in life sciences. 

ZJE has a core facility (composed of FACS core, imaging core, histology core, biochemistry core and bioinformatics core etc.) and a laboratory animal facility (up to 8000 cages) to provide strong research support. 

The Research Centres

ZJE has established several research centres with focused research directions to facilitate student research training and encourage scientific discussion, collaboration, and seminars within each research centre. Currently, we have 5 research centres.

  1. Centre for Cellular Biology and Signalling (CBS)
  2. Centre for Regeneration and Cell Therapy (RCT)
  3. Centre for Biomedical Systems and Informatics (BSI)
  4. Centre for Infection Immunity and Cancer (IIC)
  5. Biomedical Health and Translational Research Centre (BHTRC)

ZJE is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill our labs' Postdoctoral Fellow position. Lab information is available on the institute's website: here

The post requires a degree from world-renowned institutions and a PhD in a subject relevant to Biomedical Sciences or Biomedical Informatics. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is a requirement. A strong publication record in reputable scientific journals would be an advantage. 

Remuneration and Benefits

The contract of employment will be held with Zhejiang University. Competitive salary and benefits package are available. Annual salary starts from RMB 390,000.
