Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Information Systems/Digital Business/Technology Management/Operations Management/Operations Research

Queen's Business School (QBS) at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) is currently seeking to appoint one or more exceptional candidates to the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in Information Systems/ Digital Business/Technology Management/Operations Management/Operational Research. Successful candidates will be based in India at QUB’s GIFT City Campus and will have the opportunity to shape and strengthen the future direction of QBS from both a research and teaching perspective. About the person:

Essential criteria:

• A completed PhD (or very close to completion for Lecturer) in Information Systems/Digital Business/Technology Management/Operations Management/Operational Research or cognate disciplines.
• An established programme of research activity and dissemination of original, high-quality research in Information Systems/ Digital Business/ Technology Management/Operations Management/Operational Research in line with accepted norms for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer.
• A sustained track record of high-quality peer reviewed Information Systems/ Digital Business/ TechnologyManagement/Operations Management/Operational Research publications as appropriate to norms for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer.
• Ability to develop and lead a major programme of individual or collaborative research in InformationSystems/Digital Business/Technology Management/Operations Management/Operational research.
• Ability to contribute to successful, sustained postgraduate student supervision as primary supervisor, normallyat PhD level.

For Lecturer:

• Evidence of the ability and willingness to teach modules at university level in one or more of the followingareas: Analytics and machine learning, Data mining, Data management, Data driven decision making, HR analytics, Marketing analytics, Management of artificial intelligence (AI), Generative AI for business, Business applications of emerging technologies, Large language models, Design thinking with digital technologies.
• Ability and willingness to deliver excellent classroom and online teaching.
• A willingness to provide support and guidance to students, including pastoral support.

For Senior Lecturer:

• Evidence of significant experience of teaching and assessing modules at university level in one or more ofthe following areas: Analytics and machine learning, Data mining, Data management, Data driven decision making, HR analytics, Marketing analytics, Management of artificial intelligence (AI), Generative AI for business, Business applications of emerging technologies, Large language models, Design thinking with digital technologies.
• Demonstrable excellence in classroom teaching and online delivery of teaching.
• A record of providing support and guidance to students, including pastoral support.
• Evidence of administrative and academic leadership activities as appropriate to norms for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer.
• Ability and willingness to contribute to the strategic and operational management of Queen’s Business School.
