The opportunity
If you possess experience of using digital and analogue media equipment, managing resources and delivering student or customer services then we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Join us as a Support Technician in our Media Store and help contribute to the delivery of technical services and resources at London College of Fashion (LCF).
As part of our skilled technical team, you will support the day-to-day operation of the Media Store. You will assist with the delivery of equipment bookings for students, Specialist Technicians and staff, maintaining equipment and the running of the Photography and Moving Image studios.
You will demonstrate the use of equipment to students in one-to-one or small group settings, providing key support with academic activities to meet course outcomes and user needs. You will assist with the preparation of studio facilities, learning materials, equipment and consumables for students and staff to use and will also carry out basic and routine maintenance procedures to ensure all work areas are in a safe, orderly and hygienic condition.
Additionally, you will collaborate with the wider technical team to research emerging technologies and kit investment strategies.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need practical experience of using, demonstrating and maintaining digital and analogue media equipment, delivering student or customer support, and using online resource systems to manage resource use.
You will possess previous experience in demonstrating the use of equipment and technical processes to others and will be capable of troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise.
Knowledge and understanding of all relevant Health and Safety legislation and its effective operational implementation is essential, along with the ability to use a range of methods, tools and equipment to achieve a safe and acceptable standard of work.
