Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our team, specializing in international student fee collection. In this role, you will be responsible for managing fee-related communications, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records for international students. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and experience in fee chasing or accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact and follow up with international students regarding outstanding fees via email, phone, and in-person meetings.
  • Resolve payment queries from international students, providing clear guidance on payment methods, deadlines, and instalment plans.
  • Maintain accurate debtor records, tracking payment statuses and updating the financial system
  • Issue payment reminders, statements, and arrears notices to ensure timely fee collection.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all students financial data.
  • Input financial data into the accounting system (Sage Intacct) with precision.
  • Support the accounting department with various administrative tasks, including invoice processing and account reconciliations.

Eligibility Criteria:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Preferred).

Experience:

  • Previous experience in fee collection, accounts receivable, or financial administration, preferably with international clients/students.
  • Familiarity with cross-border payment processes and currency conversions (desirable).

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to handle sensitive discussions diplomatically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred).
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills for effective fee recovery.
  • High attention to detail in tracking payments and updating records.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
