HE Lecturer - Costume Production

Arts University Plymouth are seeking a dedicated and innovative Lecturer to teach on our BA Hons Costume Production course, joining a creative and dynamic academic team. Please note that an MA qualification is an essential requirement for this role. 

About You:

• You will have proven experience in Higher Education teaching, in costume production or a related field
• You will hold in-depth understanding of the creative industries, with the ability to apply theory to practice
• You’ll have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners
• If you hold experience with millinery techniques and/or thermoplastics this would be advantageous.
• You will hold a minimum of an MA level qualification

About The Role: 

• Play an integral part in delivering undergraduate teaching including the planning, developing, and delivering of engaging learning content within the BA Hons Costume Production course
• Responsible for the assessment of student work, providing constructive feedback to students and supporting their academic and professional development
• Engaging in scholarly activity, research, and professional practice to keep your teaching current and relevant to the creative industries
• Take on unit leadership responsibilities, managing the administration and delivery of specific course units
• Participating in student recruitment and retention initiatives, such as open days, UCAS fairs, and outreach activities
