The School of Global & Public Law draws on the faculty’s strengths in international and comparative law and the two main branches of Australian public law – constitutional and administrative law. In everything we do, we seek to combine sound analytic frameworks with practical approaches that make a meaningful difference to the world.
Why this role matters:
As the Head of School, you will have a special responsibility in providing leadership and in fostering excellence in research, teaching, professional activities and policy development within the School, within the Faculty, and across the UNSW community generally.
As Head of School, you will demonstrate academic excellence, which may be evidenced by an outstanding contribution to research, teaching and the profession.
The Head of School sits within the Faculty Leadership Group and amongst the University’s broader leadership. It plays a key role in providing the strategic direction and academic leadership to enhance the overall performance of research activity, quality of teaching and the student educational experience, and the enterprise culture of the School.
There will be a reduced teaching load for the duration of the Head of School appointment.
This role reports to the Faculty Dean and the academic staff of the School report to the Head of School.
This position is being offered as a Total Fixed Remuneration Package. The level of remuneration will be advised by our remuneration team and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
