This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
The Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) is a multi-disciplinary centre working with a diverse group of students especially where this enables participation of people from groups that are under-represented in higher education.
We have a broad range of programmes including full-time and part-time undergraduate programmes, apprenticeships and foundation-years. We have a particular emphasis on widening participation both with mature and young learners. Partnership is an essential aspect of teaching and learning at the Lifelong Learning Centre.
These roles will play a key role in building relationships with students and developing their sense of belonging at Leeds. Working alongside program me teams and personal tutors, you will work proactively and reactively to support the academic development of our students.
You will work with individual and small groups of students to help them understand expectations, develop confidence, enhance their digital skills and navigate university systems and processes. You will work within defined professional boundaries and refer students to support and academic skills services where necessary to ensure that they receive the most appropriate support and advice.
Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role is not suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants. Information on other visa options is available at: www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration/work-visas.
