Deputy Director of International Recruitment

Aston University is seeking a Deputy Director of International Recruitment to provide strategic and operational leadership in delivering ambitious international student recruitment targets, and execution of a global recruitment plan delivering international income growth of over £30 million+ annually. 

Reporting to the Director of International Recruitment and Development, this pivotal role will support the development and execution of the University’s global recruitment strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, nationality and channel diversity, and a strong international brand presence.

The successful candidate will play a key role in institutional decision-making and lead cross-functional initiatives that drive the University's international engagement. Acting as a senior representative for Aston University both internally and externally, the Deputy Director will deputise for the Director of International Recruitment and Development as required and provide visible leadership across the international recruitment team and broader stakeholder network.

A key part of the role will involve overseeing major recruitment levers, including the University’s multi-million-pound international scholarships strategy and its global network of B2B recruitment partners. The postholder will be responsible for delivering data-driven, market-focused recruitment plans and for cultivating a high-performing, service-oriented international recruitment team.
