This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise in fashion design and trends to play a key role providing professional guidance and advice to students at London College of Fashion on our various Styling related degrees and courses. Join us and support our mission to shape the fashion leaders of tomorrow and transform the industry from within.
You will work with students to develop their proficiency with highly specialist techniques and production methods, including still life styling, editorial and commercial styling, window display, and art direction for fashion photoshoots, and provide critical input to projects and offer feedback.
You will need to take responsibility for the daily running of specific areas within the College, including the use and booking of specialist facilities and usage of equipment, such as the styling inventory, which includes clothing, props, and accessories.
The role also involves contributing to curriculum development, research and commercial activities, working in collaboration with academic colleagues.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in fashion design, visual merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience, as well as expertise in sourcing clothes and props, and knowledge and experience in sourcing models and working with model agencies.
Strong knowledge of current fashion trends, color schemes, and styling and design principles and proficiency in using styling tools, equipment, and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, are essential.
You will also need experience in planning and organising fashion photoshoots, including commercial styling (such as lookbooks and advertising), concept development (such as fashion editorials), window display, styling for brands, and art direction for fashion photoshoots.
