The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Fellow to join the world-leading tuberculosis (TB) Modelling group at LSHTM.
The successful candidate will be supervised by Dr Rebecca Clark and Prof Richard White and will join a highly successful and supportive TB modelling group, with scope to take initiative for research within the field.
The post-holder must have a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree, in a relevant topic and relevant experience with mathematical modelling of infectious diseases. Strong knowledge of a programming language (e.g. R, Python) is essential. Experience in mathematical modelling of TB and of modelling vaccines is desirable. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed-term until 30 June 2026 (with possibility of extension subject to funding). The post is funded by Open Philanthropy and available immediately.
The salary will be on the Academic Pathway salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £45,097 - £51,156 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
