University of Southampton Library service is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, and proactive Principal Library Assistant to work as part of our small research data and intellectual property (RD& IP) teams. You will engage with staff and students to provide effective and efficient support in the areas of research data, theses, copyright and intellectual property.

About you
You must be able to work with minimal supervision, organise workflows to agreed targets, take the initiative in problem-solving, determine priorities and meet deadlines. You will have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will be required to provide support to team colleagues and direct reports in day-to-day activities. A good level of computer literacy is essential, as is the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
