Birkbeck, University of London is seeking an Associate Lecturer to join the School of Psychological Sciences and teach on our cognitive psychology courses.
We have an excellent opportunity for an Associate Lecturer to join the teaching team on the Certificate of Higher Education, BSc Foundation Year, and BA Programmes for the following module:
The module explores the potential impact of a range of developmental and psychological disorders and adverse experiences on children’s lives and their education, examining how these issues emerge and evolve over time, and how they interact with individual, family, and sociocultural factors. Your main responsibility will be the preparation, teaching, administration, and assessment of this module.
The module is core for two of our programmes - BA Psychology for Education and BA Psychological Studies (Child Development and Education) and an option on other BA programmes, and is a popular option for students with a particular interest in developmental and child psychology. As such, it will offer you the opportunity to bring your knowledge, expertise and teaching experience to enable these committed students to complete their studies successfully.
In addition to the criteria specified in the job pack (available on the university's website, accessed by the 'Apply' button), the minimum requirements for selection are listed below:
Please note: candidates need to demonstrate competence or significant potential in all areas. The successful candidate will be required to teach all sessions on the module.
If this sounds like the role for you, apply with Birkbeck today.
