University College Dublin and St Vincent’s University Hospital wish to expand their academic and clinical leadership in surgery by appointing a Consultant Surgeon & Associate Professor in Surgery. The appointee will join Ireland’s largest university at one of the country’s leading hospitals which is both a busy adult teaching hospital and a national tertiary referral centre.
Both organisations are committed to building on a long-standing partnership to deliver high quality patient care services, to advance research which leads to a better understanding of relevant diseases and to create the next generation of clinicians by training medical students in surgery.
The UCD Associate Professor of Surgery will be based at St Vincent’s University Hospital, where they will work with colleagues to deliver clinical care and academic programmes. They will contribute to the state-of-the-art surgical services at the Hospital, and academic teaching and research programmes of the University.
Successful candidate will be appointed on the appropriate Salary scale at the first point in scale or in line with current Government pay policy and commensurate with experience.
