The Role
As our Director of Apprenticeships, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead and Manage Apprenticeship Programmes: Champion the development and delivery of innovative, high-quality apprenticeship curricula.
Cultivate a High-Performance Culture: Inspire and lead a team dedicated to achieving high standards and outstanding student outcomes.
Drive Curriculum Innovation: Lead the design and delivery of apprenticeship standards, ensuring excellence in teaching and learning practices.
Ensure Quality Assurance: Implement adequate quality assurance and improvement policies to maintain high standards.
Use Data for Improvement: Embed the analysis of student performance data in curriculum planning.
Enhance Teaching and Learning: Provide leadership in teaching, learning, and assessment.
Promote Inclusivity and Diversity: Create inclusive, supportive, and safe curriculum areas.
Manage Resources Effectively: Guide the business planning process for curriculum areas.
Represent the College Externally: Engage with partners to share best practices and promote the college's interests.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about education and innovation, with the following qualifications and experience:
Education and Qualifications: Hold a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one. Possess significant experience in a substantial management position within an FE environment.
Work Experience: Proven track record in leading and managing the performance of teaching and support staff teams. Successful experience in sustainable curriculum innovation and leading change through interventionist actions.
Skills and Knowledge: Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of current education drivers and initiatives. Experience working in flexible learning environments and successfully utilising ILT. Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and excellent data analysis skills.
Personal Qualities: High-level influencing and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and in partnership. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Innovative, flexible, and creative approach to responding to opportunities and identified needs. Commitment to directing and developing an open, honest, and respectful culture. Enthusiasm and flexibility to contribute to the development of new areas of work. Genuine commitment to the success of students and the wider community.
