At Manchester Metropolitan University, we're looking for an enthusiastic individual with solid customer service skills to join our Hardware & Logistics team.
IT & Digital is central to delivering the University's core goals and the experience MMU offers to both professional colleagues and students. We are committed to developing and maintaining flexible, serviceable, and scalable services that reflect the changing needs of our growing University.
Working within Hardware & Logistics, you will be the face of IT & Digital at the University. Our face-to-face service is often a new staff member's first interaction with IT, and the value of a good first impression cannot be understated. Hardware & Logistics also deliver change projects across the University, including office moves, new IT labs, and upgrading existing IT within teaching spaces.
This is a fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference to the daily teaching and learning experience of our staff and students. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for learning about new technologies, and a dedication to first-class customer service, we look forward to hearing from you.
Please note this is a 24-month fixed-term role based fully on-site and is not a hybrid post.
To apply, please submit your CV and covering letter, detailing how you meet the person specification, on the portal. For full list of requirements and benefits, please refer to the JD and candidate pack (available on the university's website, accessed by the 'Apply' button).
Due to the volume of applications we receive, we sometimes close our vacancies early. It is therefore advisable to apply as early as possible if you would like to be considered for a role.
Manchester Metropolitan University is committed to supporting the rights, responsibilities, dignity, health and wellbeing of staff and students through our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. We promote applications from all sections of the community, irrespective of background, belief or identity, recognising the benefits that a diverse organisation can bring and particularly encourage applications from groups which are underrepresented in the University workforce. We recognise the benefits and importance of an environment that supports flexible working and are open to conversations about this, as well as any reasonable adjustments required throughout the application process.
