We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The HRBP will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with the faculty's goals and objectives, providing expert HR guidance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, be data-driven, and forward-thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership: Partner with faculty leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the faculty's long-term goals and objectives.
  • HR Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of strategic HR initiatives that drive organisational effectiveness and support the faculty's mission.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise data and analytics to drive HR decisions and strategies, providing insights that support strategic planning.
  • Commercial Awareness: Demonstrate commercial awareness in HR practices to support the faculty's financial and operational goals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with central HR to implement university-wide initiatives and programs, ensuring strategic alignment with faculty goals.
  • Innovation: Innovate and implement forward-thinking HR solutions to enhance faculty performance and engagement, contributing to the faculty's strategic success.
  • Employee Relations Management: Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions, with a strategic approach to enhance organisational culture.
  • Expert HR Guidance: Provide expert advice on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Talent Management: Support recruitment and retention efforts, including workforce planning and talent management, to build a high-performing and engaged workforce.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth, aligning with strategic talent development plans.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with university policies and relevant employment laws, proactively identifying and mitigating HR-related risks.
