About Research Services
Our Research Services department is central to Oxford’s research success. We deliver expert support across five core areas, promoting a culture of teamwork, professionalism, continuous improvement, empathy, and trust.
The Strategic Research Development (SRD) Team, within Funding & Contracts, plays a vital role in shaping and supporting large-scale, multidisciplinary research proposals. The team works across the University to identify funding opportunities, broker strategic collaborations, and support both external grant applications and internal bids to the University’s Strategic Research Fund (SRF) — an initiative that enables major investments in transformative research projects.
The Role
As Strategic Research Development Manager, you will lead on the development of high-value, complex research proposals. You'll provide expert guidance to academic and professional colleagues across all stages of proposal creation—from inception to submission and beyond. Key responsibilities include:
