Hours: This post is 0.6 FTE with a working pattern of 26.6 hours per week worked over 4 days per week for 42 weeks of the year with 10 weeks break over the summer

We are looking for an appropriately qualified and experienced individual to join our small team within the Careers and Employability Service, which is part of the QMU Student Services department.
You will be involved in a wide range of professional duties, including one-to-one careers guidance, group work, presentations, workshops and other careers education activities. Experience of working with academic staff to embed careers education and employability within the curriculum is an advantage.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a professional careers or careers related qualification. Ideally, you will have experience of working in a Higher Education environment, coupled with an appreciation and understanding of graduate employability issues.
You must be able to work independently and manage your own workload, whilst contributing to the continuing development of a professional, student-centred Careers and Employability Service and to the work of the wider Student Services department.
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, team working, and the ability to establish effective working relationships with students, academic staff and employers are all essential.
