This position is for a social, cultural or political geographer as part of a Research Ireland-funded project “Diaspora Diplomacy and the Migration-Development Nexus” led by Dr Jonathan Harris. The PhD position is dedicated to researching the Indian diaspora in Ireland, and is open to candidates with an academic profile in either geography, international politics, sociology, anthropology, or cognate disciplines.

This position is for a hydrologist or fluvial geomorphologist as part of an Environment Protection Agency-funded project “Catchment communities – an interdisciplinary ecosystem for citizen science”, led by Dr Susan Hegarty. The PhD position will be focused on developing the citizen science hydromorphology framework, and is open to candidates with strong GIS skills and an academic background in geography, environmental science, earth science or cognate disciplines.
