About the role

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology to join us at an exciting phase in our development. You will have a PhD in psychology (or equivalent) and be an active researcher able to make a strong contribution to the next Research Excellence Framework (REF exercise). With the potential to produce internationally excellent outputs, you will also be committed to the pursuit of external grant funding, to fostering impacts from your research, and to seeking opportunities for knowledge exchange activities.

You will be able to afford our students an outstanding university experience by making a significant contribution to the delivery of our Undergraduate and Postgraduate level teaching. Specialist expertise and knowledge in forensic psychology is expected for this post. You will be committed to ensuring that our students benefit from an exemplary education and opportunities to develop their transferable employability skills.

About you

With a promising (Lecturer) or established (Senior Lecturer) research profile in psychology, you will  demonstrate how your research plans support our ambitious strategy for increasing the quality of our research outputs, external income generation, and for extending the reach of our impact and/or knowledge exchange activities.

To be successful you will further enrich our students’ experience through your coaching and mentorship skills, and your subject knowledge, as evidenced through your qualifications and experience. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within our discipline.
