Threat and Vulnerability Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Threat and Vulnerability Analyst to join the University’s Information Security Team. This team is a high-profile, proactive team which enables the University to function at its best by reducing the risk of cyber security incidents and data breaches and responding effectively to any incidents that should occur. We work as subject matter experts, collaborating with teams across the University and with our external partners to identify and mitigate threat and risk.

The Threat and Vulnerability Analyst is responsible for supporting and delivering the operation of the vulnerability management function. The role will utilise vulnerability management tools and techniques to co-ordinate, categorise and prepare vulnerability remediation plans and present metrics / KPIs to senior stakeholders. The role will also analyse threat data from multiple sources to enrich vulnerability information and highlight emerging threat patterns. It will also support the development of technologies, policies and procedures to build a high performing vulnerability management function.

Candidates should have a thorough understanding of security vulnerability tools, processes, and techniques along with specialist knowledge and understanding of best practice techniques for broader information technology systems and infrastructure. They should also have significant proven experience working in fast paced diverse technology environment.

This post is full time (35 hours p/w) and open ended (permanent). Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
