An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Communications Co-ordinator to join the University of Huddersfield’s Media Relations Team.
Are you passionate about creating engaging communications for our student and staff community? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced office environment in a varied role? Are you skilled at building relationships across an organisation? If so, then this post might be for you.
You will work across the University to create regular internal communications content, including campaigns, writing content for our staff and student intranets, producing student e-newsletters, and sharing engaging digital content on social media and the website.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, or with relevant experience gained in a similar role, along with GCSEs at Grade C/Grade 4 or above including Maths and English, you will have proven experience in using multiple digital corporate channels. You will also have experience in copywriting and proofreading, producing corporate communications and marketing materials, and communicating with a variety of internal stakeholders. You will be highly motivated with excellent communication, organisational and teamworking skills, enabling you to work effectively in a flexible and responsive environment.
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Employer, Stonewall Gold Award holder and Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder on our website.
Informal enquiries are welcome to Mike Spikin, Internal Communications Officer.
