The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team working on a cutting-edge cyclic peptide mRNA display platform under the supervision of Professor Akane Kawamura (https://kawamuraresearchgroup.com). You will play an active role in advancing and evolving this technology to expand its capabilities, with a primary focus on developing ligands and tool compounds targeting therapeutically relevant proteins.

You will join a multidisciplinary team of approximately 15 experienced chemists, chemical biologists, and molecular/cell biologists based in recently refurbished, state-of-the-art chemical biology laboratories at Newcastle University. The role may involve supporting the supervision and training of PhD students. Strong time management skills, the ability to work independently, and a collaborative mindset are essential, particularly when working with both internal and external collaborators.
