The Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP) is one of the largest and strongest of its kind in Europe. The Department currently hosts nearly 250 Academic and Research Staff and around 200 PhD students at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, a purpose-built complex in Wilberforce Road, Cambridge.

You will serve as a Senior Teaching Associate in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. As a Senior Teaching Associate in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, you will be asked to deliver one course in the in the Michaelmas Term and one course in the Lent Term, as well as serve as Examiner. The courses and examining duties will be determined by consultation with the Head of Department. These duties will be selected as appropriate from any part of the Mathematical Tripos conventionally lectured by DAMTP (i.e. the undergraduate Parts IA, IB and II, or the Masters level Part III) or Parts IA and IB of the Natural Sciences Tripos. You will also be responsible for organising appropriate example sheets, and for a Part III course, example classes as needed. Full support concerning course content consistent with the schedules will be given. Although the duties will principally arise only during the three teaching terms of the academic year, the role will be remunerated as an annualised 25% part-time position.

Limit of tenure: 2 years in the first instance, with a start date of 1 September 2025.
