The S P Jain London School of Management is now seeking a self-motivated and flexible individual as its Chief Operating Officer. SP Jain London School of Management (SPJL) is a new OfS registered Business school. We were granted new degree awarding powers and a UKVI licence in the summer of 2023 and commenced operations in September 2023. The School is a part of the SP Jain Group whose futuristic approach has led to campuses in Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore and Sydney. The SP Jain group provides global learning opportunities in person to our home and international students and online programmes using our innovative Engaged Learning Online platform.
The state-of-the-art campus is located in Canary Wharf and we have now 150 UK registered students as well as welcoming S P Jain Global Students on exchange. We are growing our student numbers and gaining traction for our multi-city learning model for both undergraduates and postgraduates.
We aim to be ahead of the curve and are introducing innovative AI tools to support learning. This together with our proactive approach to employability, industry focussed curriculum and projects helps ensure that our students are job ready.

The new COO will lead the development of scalable operational systems and services to support the school’s growth. Working both strategically and hands on, the postholder will oversee the professional services team and operations, working closely with Academic Staff and the Recruitment teams.
Main Responsibilities
This COO reports to the Global President and is part of the Senior Management Team. The COO is responsible for Registry, Student Services, Facilities, IT and HR and Finance (currently 10 staff in the UK) alongside colleagues in the Global School. The main aims of the role are to:

You will be self-reliant and flexible to undertake the work required in a new higher education institution. You will be committed to a continuous improvement and delivering an excellent student experience.
You will bring experience in managing operations in an OfS registered higher education setting, ideally during a period of growth or transformation. You’ll be comfortable leading diverse teams, improving systems, and working collaboratively across academic and administrative functions. You will have experience organisational change or development and strong management skills underpinned with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will need the ability to oversee multiple areas and ensure effective processes to support operational and strategic goals and work in partnership with colleagues in the Global School.
