The School
The School of Computing and Engineering is a professional and student focused School with high quality teaching, student experience and research informed teaching at the top of its priority list. The School has strong links with local, national and international partners and employability of graduates is the key to courses that we offer. The School enjoys state-of-the-art equipment and continues to invest heavily in its improvement. Our courses are fully accredited by relevant professional bodies across the board.
The Role
SCE is looking for a ‘pool’ of HPLs to help deliver our Cyber courses. We are looking for experienced academics who could help with general course delivery, project supervision and marking of assessments, especially for some of our very large cohorts. Being part of our talent bank does not automatically represent a promise of work but is to gather a cohort of potential helpers across the whole range of our courses.
The Person
The candidate should have current knowledge of Cyber Security to contribute to both our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Evidence of teaching experience and an established research track record, or equivalent industrial experience, with appropriate outputs in a discipline relevant to the subject are also required.
Applicants do not have to hold a PhD in a relevant field but demonstrable track record of teaching experience within the Higher Education sector is looked for. Equally, industrial practitioners are also encouraged to apply.
