We are delighted to announce a 3-year PhD scholarship in French or Francophone Studies at the University of Sheffield.
The Dorothy Tingle Bequest Scholarship has an annual value of £12,000 towards fees and maintenance, and is open to candidates in any area of French or Francophone studies where appropriate supervision can be offered.

Candidates should contact their potential supervisor as soon as possible, with a view to preparing their proposal. Any general questions may be directed to Dr Audrey Small (a.small@sheffield.ac.uk).
Candidates must submit an application comprising a summary of their PhD proposal, a CV and a covering letter to Dr Audrey Small (a.small@sheffield.ac.uk) by 5pm on Friday 11 July. The proposal should set out the importance of the proposed research, the key questions addressed, and the ‘fit’ with the department and the proposed supervisor, in a maximum of 1000 words.
