Drive health policy innovation using your legal and ethical expertise
This is an opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic person with expertise in law and regulation who is passionate about the policy and ethics of biomedical innovation and cutting-edge healthcare. As part of the humanities team, you will work with colleagues in science, healthcare, and policy to research, analyse, and communicate legal and ethical positions into the policy process for new biomedical innovations.
You must have a good grasp of the legal, regulatory, and ethical landscape relating to healthcare and health technology, and first-class analytical, drafting, and communication skills. A degree/post-graduate qualifications in law, medical law and ethics or similar would be a distinct advantage. You must be able to transfer your academic grounding into actionable policy applications.
You will have excellent research and analytic skills, together with ambition to drive the development of health policy and the wider policy context. You will be an excellent networker and have the personal qualities to work creatively and effectively in a small team of highly-motivated colleagues, liaising with individuals and organisations across the health policy landscape.
This role offers intellectually challenging work and a chance to influence the development of law and policy in a rapidly evolving field. In turn, you will help the PHG Foundation to further develop its reputation as a leading independent health policy think tank.
The PHG Foundation is a linked exempt charity of the University of Cambridge.
