We are seeking to appoint Skills Educators in Health and/or Social Care to contribute to our exciting and growing provision across health and social care, in particular our new foundation year programmes.
You will deliver on a range of modules relating to foundational knowledge and capacities in academic skills, health, social care and the broader social sciences, dependant on your expertise. You will also support students through personal academic tutoring. You will be part of a vibrant and diverse group of staff working across our School of Human and Health Sciences to support students to succeed and progress in their studies and chosen fields.
A good honours degree in a health and/or social care related subject area is essential, together with a relevant teaching qualification or willingness to complete this. You should have a good understanding of the general area around health and/or social care as well as adult education in this area or within the broader Further and Higher Education sector. You should have strong skills in communication and a passion to support students to achieve their full potential. This will enable students to learn from committed, knowledgeable and well-qualified educators who are at the forefront of their subject area.
