The Technical Services Team within Estates is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Oxford University’s diverse estate. Our skilled, multidisciplinary team keeps everything running - from historic listed buildings to pioneering new facilities like the Life and Mind Building, and the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, two landmark developments designed to shape the future of science, culture, and education on a global scale.
About the Role
As Mechanical Supervisor, you will lead your team in fault diagnosis, planned maintenance, and responsive repair across a wide range of systems. You will manage workloads, assign tasks, develop staff, and uphold health and safety standards, all while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll liaise across departments, supervise contractors, support energy-saving initiatives, and ensure that your team’s work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. You’ll also help shape the evolution of our maintenance strategy, working closely with colleagues in Engineering, Capital Projects, and Sustainability.
