We are seeking to appoint a full-time Faculty Office Administrator to join a professional and busy office team, in a collaborative role, to provide a full range of administrative support across the Faculty of Education’s portfolio, including Initial Teacher Education and Education, Childhood and Professional Studies. The role will suit an experienced and well-organised administrator with a commitment to supporting the student life cycle and delivering high-quality services.
This role plays a crucial part in supporting our ongoing growth and is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to make a significant impact as well as being adaptable to change.
In this varied and rewarding role, the successful candidate will be highly motivated to provide a comprehensive, effective programme administration service across the faculty, sharing responsibility for efficient support, relating to the student academic experience. These include, but are not limited to, supporting recruitment, induction, enrolment, attendance, assessment, validation and retention activities.
Whether maintaining office data management systems, or supporting student interviews, you will provide excellent customer service to students and other internal and external stakeholders [particularly schools] to facilitate support for students and colleagues across the Faculty of Education, ensuring academic programmes are administered in line with the Academic Regulations and that all relevant activities are completed in line with university processes and within required deadlines..
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment and be educated to at least GCSE standard, though a relevant business administration qualification would be desirable alongside relevant work experience. To succeed in this role, you should have a "can do" solutions-focused approach with a service mindset. Proficiency in the use of MS Office and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effectively engaging with a range of stakeholders. Flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail are also vital attributes, as you will be expected to manage conflicting requirements and prioritise your work effectively, both individually and as part of a team.
